REQUIRED COMPETITIONS

Interview: The judges want to get to know YOU! Your conversation should spark interest and curiosity as the judges will be referring to your interview form for some of the questions. Be authentically you! 

Jr. Princess (ages 4-6) and Princess (ages 7-9) 

• Each delegate will enter the room, turn her back to the chair and the Judge’s Chairperson will announce “you may begin” 
• The round-robin style interview begins once the delegate turns around, states her name and sits down at the judges’ table 
• Interviews are 2 minutes with each judge 

Preteen (ages 10-12), Jr. Teen (ages 13-15), Teen (ages 16-18) and Miss (ages 19-27) 

• Each delegate will enter the room and approach the judges’ table 
• The panel-style interview begins once the delegate states her name and sits down at the judges’ table 
• Preteen interviews are 2 minutes 
• Jr. Teen, Teen and Miss interviews are 3 minutes 

Think fashion forward with your attire! Delegates may wear a dress, jumpsuit or pants/shorts outfit. Delegates are judged on conversation skills, confidence and personality. 

Fun Fashion: Think red carpet and high fashion! Fun Fashion is an area of competition to showcase your fun style and upbeat personality. Delegates are judged on modeling skills, stage presence and personality. No hats, purses or props allowed. 

Evening Gown: Express your elegance on the IDEAL runway! Delegates will compete in an age appropriate floor-length gown. Judges are looking for a dress selection that is a complimentary style, color and fit. Delegates are judged on poise, elegance and stage presence.
